De esta forma, se suspendi&#xF3; el juicio hasta el pr&#xF3;ximo 4 de abril y se evit&#xF3; que Lula pueda ser encarcelado.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Antes que el Tribunal Regional Federal de la 4&#xB0; regi&#xF3;n pida su prisi&#xF3;n inmediata, el tribunal superior de Justicia de Brasil acept&#xF3; analizar un pedido de h&#xE1;beas corpus y estira las posibilidades electorales del ex presidente de Brasil. Tras el voto positivo de siete de los once ministros de la corte, fuera del edificio centenares de manifestantes a favor y en contra de Lula se hicieron presentes en la Plaza de los Tres Poderes.<\/p>\n<p>El a&#xF1;o pasado el ex presidente Lula fue condenado a nueve a&#xF1;os y medio de c&#xE1;rcel, tras ser acusado de corrupci&#xF3;n en el marco del esc&#xE1;ndalo Lava Jato que investiga una red de fondos ilegales en torno a la petrolera estatal Petrobras.
