El Gobierno de San Luis, Alberto Rodríguez Saa, expropió la fábrica Cerámica San Lorenzo en la localidad de Villa Mercedes para asegurar la continuidad de la producción luego del cierre que habían decidido los dueños.<\/p>\n

“Si San Luis hizo el sacrificio y le dio beneficios a algunas empresas, es lógico que se use ese beneficio para el progreso social de la provincia, para crear fuentes de trabajo, entonces para eso se hace. Y por eso, por cualquier causa cuando la empresa abandona, nosotros no abandonamos”, dijo el gobernador, Alberto Rodríguez Saá al anunciar la medida.<\/p>\n

La fábrica estuvo cinco meses parada absolutamente, ahora la empresa será administrada por sus trabajadores a través de una cooperativa.<\/p>\n

En enero de este año, la planta de Cerámica San Lorenzo comunicó el cierre a sus trabajadores, dejando a 140 operarios sin su principal sustento económico.<\/p>\n

La crisis había comenzado hace más de un año, cuando comenzaron los primeros despidos injustificados, licencias médicas no respetadas y un premio por productividad que la empresa no cumplió, según denunciaron los trabajadores. En julio del año pasado, la empresa suspendió por 30 días a 120 trabajadores por la caída de la demanda, lo que se tradujo en una reducción del 25 por ciento de los sueldos de los empleados afectados.<\/p>\n

“El motivo que dio la empresa para justificar el cierre es que estaba trabajando a pérdida”, decía Claudio Verri, del Sindicato de Ceramistas. Cerámica San Lorenzo se instaló en San Luis en los `80 y cuenta con plantas en San Juan, Azul y Puerto Madryn. La administración de Rodríguez Saá informó que la empresa mantenía una deuda con el Estado provincial que fue utilizada como pago de la expropiación.<\/p>\n

“Es un suceso histórico en San Luis, donde el movimiento obrero, apoyado por el Gobierno provincial, hoy tiene el privilegio de recuperar sus fuentes de trabajo”, dijo Juan Vega, secretario general del Sindicato de Ceramistas.<\/p>\n

Los trabajadores buscarán ponerla en funcionamiento en 60 días. Antes de ese plazo, evaluarán las necesidades técnicas y de insumos para entrar en funcionamiento, con un aporte que les hará el Gobierno provincial. También, hasta que la fábrica empiece su proceso de ventas, la Provincia les adelantará un salario mínimo, vital y móvil.<\/p>\n

“Al cabo de un año, si todo salió bien y la cooperativa logró la viabilidad económica y financiera de la planta, la fábrica pasará a ser de los trabajadores”, explicó Rodríguez Saa.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
