El histórico dirigente peronista falleció a los 70 años. En 2010 había sufrido un ACV que lo marginó de la política.<\/p>\n

Inmenso dolor en las filas del peronismo. Es que hace momento se conoció que Alberto Balestrini, histórico dirigente peronista del municipio de La Matanza, murió este martes a los 70 años, según confirmaron desde su entorno.<\/p>\n

Durante su extensa carrera política ocupó varios cargos. Fue vicegobernador de la provincia de Buenos Aires entre 2007 y 2010; presidente de la Cámara de Diputados de la Nación entre 2005 y 2007; intendente de La Matanza entre 1999 y 2005; y convencional constituyente, en 1994.<\/p>\n

El 7 de abril de 2010, cuando era vicegobernador de Daniel Scioli, sufrió un accidente cerebrovascular que lo marginó de la política luego de estar varios meses internados.<\/p>\n

En 2011 fue derivado a un centro de rehabilitación y en 2013 volvió a caminar, pero se recluyó en su casa junto a su familia y no volvió a la vida pública.<\/p>\n

Su carrera política comenzó en la década del 70′, en el centro de estudiantes de la Universidad del Salvador, donde se recibió de abogado.<\/p>\n

Su primer cargo público llegó en 1989, con el regreso del peronismo al poder. Fue elegido diputado nacional. Desde ese entonces ocupó un rol central en el armado político del Partido Justicialista en la provincia de Buenos Aires.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
