Ícono de la música popular argentina en el mundo, falleció este viernes a la edad de 91 años de un paro cardiorrespiratorio en Luján<\/strong><\/p>\n

Heráclito Catalín Rodríguez, cuyo nombre artístico es Horacio Guarany, falleció hoy a los 91 años de edad, a causa de un paro carrdiorespiratorio. Horacio Guarany, había nacido el 15 de Mayo de 1925 en el chaco santafecino, en el pueblo de Las Garzas.<\/p>\n

Comprometido con sus vivencias y del gaucho argentino, viajó a Buenos Aires a los diecisiete años, a probar suerte y con el sueño inalterable de realizarse como cantante, pero pasó bastante tiempo, cantando tangos, boleros y todo tipo de canciones para poder tener para comer, fue también marinero, hasta que pudo imponer un estilo sin igual, donde prevalecía canciones folklóricas comprometidas con el amor, los trabajadores, las injusticias y la lucha contra todo tipo de regímenes autoritarios.<\/p>\n

Un festival en Moscú influye tanto en su vida profesional como la personal. Antes de viajar deja grabado su primer LP, y cuando él regresa de su viaje ya estaban sus canciones en boca de todo el pueblo folklórico argentino gracias a la difusión realizada por Miguel Franco en las audiciones radiales de la época.<\/p>\n

Fue uno de los pioneros que inauguraron el famoso Festival Nacional de Folklore Argentino de Cosquín en la provincia de Córdoba en 1961, y su participación se hizo un clásico donde miles de hombres y mujeres cantaron, bailaron y aplaudieron su obra.<\/p>\n

En 1972 filma su primer largometraje cinematográfico titulado si se calla el cantor, con Olga Zubarry, que trata del triunfo de un hombre como cantante, luego de terribles experiencias de explotación. Luego en 1974 dirigido por el mismo director Enrique Dawi, filma la vuelta de Martín Fierro, con Onofre Lovero, un relato paralelo de la vida de José Hernández y su obra.<\/p>\n

Cantor popular por excelencia, debió abandonar el país en la década del 70, ante las reiteradas amenazas y atentados realizados a él, su familia y sus pertenencias. Un largo y duro exilió en España no logró doblegar ni sus fortalezas, ni el cariño de sus seguidores, que aunque las dictaduras argentinas hicieron desaparecer todos los discos editados hasta ese momento, el pueblo folklórico se ingeniaba para tener siempre la música del ídolo en sus oídos y corazones.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
