En un nuevo capítulo de la vuelta al Fondo Monetario Internacional que lleva adelante el gobierno de Mauricio Macri, el vocero del FMI Gerry Rice, aclaró durante una conferencia de prensa que el acuerdo entre la entidad y la Argentina “será rápido”. Desde la sede del FMI en Washington, Rice agregó: "Nuestra principal objetivo es ayudar a las autoridades a proteger la economía argentina y los estándares de vida de los argentinos, en especial a los más vulnerables", y señaló que el Directorio “está totalmente de acuerdo con el presidente Macri respecto de cuáles son los problemas centrales que aquejan a la economía”.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Sin hacer referencia del ajuste y de los condicionamientos habituales que impone el organismo a los países a los que otorga créditos, las declaraciones de Rice están en sintonía con lo dicho ayer por Macri, quien desde Olivos dijo que "el problema central que los argentinos tenemos que resolver es reducir el déficit fiscal". <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Además, el medio Página 12 asegura que para el vocero del Fondo, el "objetivo común es alcanzar un acuerdo rápido” y,  para ello, “Christine Lagarde solicitó que se terminen los procedimientos prontamente, así que esperamos que se pueda hacer rápido". En el mismo tono subrayó que “las prioridades de la Argentina son muy importantes para el FMI. Nos esforzaremos por apoyar las prioridades del Gobierno argentino".<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Antes de finalizar,  con ánimo de limpiar la imagen del organismo internacional como del gobierno nacional, Rice aseveró que "la situación en Argentina actualmente es totalmente diferente a la que tenía hace 20 años, hoy tienen un tipo de cambio marcado por el mercado e instituciones fuertes".   "Nosotros también cambiamos –agregó-.
