López Obrador se presentó como el candidato antisistema y logró sacar una ventaja amplia a su rival Ricardo Anaya, impulsado por una coalición de derecha e izquierda (PAN, el PRD y Movimiento Ciudadano) y a José Antonio Meade, del gobernante Partido Revolucionario Institucional (PRI), quien aparece en un lejano tercer puesto.<\/p>\n

“La información de los resultados con la que cuento me indica que la tendencia favorece a Andrés Manuel López Obrador. Hace unos minutos hablé con él (vía telefónica) reconozco su triunfo y le expreso mi felicitación y le deseo el mayor de los éxitos por el bien de México”, expresó Anaya, desde su cuartel de campaña.<\/p>\n

López Obrador, de 64 años, supo capitalizar el hartazgo en México por una violencia brutal y una corrupción rampante, tras el gobierno de Enrique Peña Nieto del PRI.<\/p>\n

Además de elegir presidente, unos 89 millones de mexicanos estaban convocados para votar gobernadores, alcaldes, senadores y diputados locales y federales entre los más de 18 mil puestos en disputa. Se trata de la primera vez que se eligen tantos cargos en un solo proceso.<\/p>\n

Las elecciones ponen fin a la campaña electoral “más sangrienta” de la historia reciente de México, con al menos 145 políticos asesinados desde septiembre (de ellos 48 eran precandidatos y candidatos), cuando se inició el proceso electoral, según la consultora Etellekt.<\/p>\n

Los candidatos de Morena, la coalición que lidera López Obrador, que actualmente no gobiernan ningún estado, se llevan además el triunfo de cinco de las nueve gobernaciones en disputa en esta jornada electoral.<\/p>\n

Este triunfo modifica definitivamente el mapa político en los 32 estados que conforman México y que hasta ahora eran gobernados mayoritariamente por el PRI y el PAN.<\/p>\n
