Al tiempo que el gobierno de Mauricio Macri ajusta la ciencia y la tecnología, reduciendo presupuesto y restringiendo el ingreso de investigadores, el reconocido ranking global Scimago ubicó al Conicet entre las mejores instituciones públicas de investigación científica del mundo, incluso por sobre la NASA.<\/p>\n

Se trata de un conglomerado de instituciones científicas y universitarias de España y, desde 2009, realiza un relevamiento de la producción de conocimiento científico a nivel mundial. Para hacerlo, toma en cuenta indicadores de resultados de investigaciones, indicadores de innovación y su impacto social, y a partir de esos datos genera diferentes listados de instituciones.<\/p>\n

En el ranking de este año, el Consejo Nacional de Investigaciones Científicas y Técnicas (Conicet) se ubica en el puesto número 21 entre 1391 instituciones estatales de investigación de todo el mundo.<\/p>\n

En el puesto número 22 figura la National Aeronautics and Space Administration, la NASA de los Estados Unidos. El ranking es encabezado por la Academia China de Ciencias y segundo se ubica el Centro Nacional de Investigación Científica (CNRS) de Francia.
