El instituto de Investigaciones Biomédicas en Retrovirus y SIDA (INBRIS), que depende del Conicet y de la UBA, convocó a personas que tengan o hayan tenido Covid-19 a donar muestras de sangre para avanzar en investigaciones científicas sobre este coronavirus y la enfermedad.<\/p>\n

Las muestras de sangre serán destinadas al Biobanco de Enfermedades Infecciosas (BBEI) y puestas a disposición de la comunidad científica para proyectos de investigación que ayuden a conocer, prevenir y combatir el virus.<\/p>\n

El Biobanco es confidencial, gratuito y sin fines de lucro y los donantes voluntarios se pueden contactar a través del correo covid19bbei@gmail.com o del teléfono 01126487664.<\/p>\n

Gabriela Turk, Investigadora del Conicet y del INBRIS, dijo a Télam que “la idea es formar un biobanco que sirva para investigaciones futuras, se almacenan todas las muestras a disposición de futuros proyectos de investigación que requieran muestras humanas”.<\/p>\n

“Es importante destacar que estas muestras se van a preservar con los más altos estándares de calidad y van a estar adjuntadas a la historia clínica del donante, lo que las vuelve un insumo valioso para cualquier investigación, como por ejemplo el desarrollo de kits de diagnóstico”, agregó.<\/p>\n

“La extracción que se le hace a los donantes es de 40 mililitros, que son más o menos cuatro cucharadas, de allí se separan el plasma, el suero y las células, y eso da material suficiente para varias investigaciones”, completó Turk.<\/p>\n

El INBRIS brindará a los donantes la información para coordinar la visita, tomando todas las medidas sanitarias para que puedan asistir de manera segura, incluyendo elementos y permisos necesarios para respetar las normas de circulación vigentes.<\/p>\n
