A cinco días de un nuevo aniversario de la muerte de Rafael Nahuel –ocurrida a orillas del lago Mascardi, en 2017–, asesinaron a Elías Garay, otro joven mapuche. Además, otro adolescente fue herido de gravedad. Se sospecha de la posible responsabilidad de sicarios. Gravísima violencia en Río Negro. <\/p>\n

El ataque de este domingo ocurrió en El Bolsón, cuando dos hombres armados, vestidos de civil, ingresaron al predio de Cuesta del Ternero. Allí la comunidad mapuche Quemquemtrew sostiene un asentamiento destinado a recuperar un territorio ancestral.<\/p>\n

Desde el 18 de septiembre reivindican la recuperación de lugar llamado Tapera de los Álamos, 90 kilómetros al sur de Bariloche. Allí está el asentamiento, sitiado hace 52 días por la policía provincial. Y hace 48 horas se levantó un acampe humanitario ubicado cerca de la comisaria de Cuesta del Ternero. “Pero justamente hoy pasa esto, cuando la policía sigue rodeando el territorio recuperado y nadie puede entrar, ni con alimentos ni con abrigo. Que hayan aparecido ahí dos personas armadas, no tiene explicación”, razona Orlando Carriqueo, dirigente de la Coordinadora Mapuche Tehuelche.<\/p>\n

“Hace casi dos meses que el gobierno provincial creó un cerco policial sobre el territorio y no dejan pasar a la gente –-confirma Luis Pilquiman, funcionario del Instituto Nacional de Asuntos Indígenas (INAI)–. Se esperaba que ahora comenzara una instancia de diálogo y sucede todo lo contrario, comienza la agresión”.<\/p>\n
