El Fondo Monetario Internacional tiene en carpeta una nueva investigación interna sobre el mega-paquete de financiamiento otorgado a la Argentina en 2018, bajo la presidencia de Mauricio Macri. Así lo expresó la Oficina de Evaluación Independiente (IEO por sus siglas en inglés) del organismo internacional, tras el pedido del presidente Alberto Fernández. Según adelantó C5N, los propios voceros del organismo darán a conocer esta información en las próximas horas.<\/p>\n

Al participar del cierre de la Conferencia Industrial de la UIA, el mandatario planteó una exigencia al Fondo antes de avanzar con un nuevo acuerdo: "Le pedimos al FMI que antes de que cerremos un nuevo acuerdo, haga su evaluación de lo que fue el fallido programa Stand-By".<\/p>\n

"Seguimos negociando con el FMI a paso seguro y con el pulso firme. Queremos lograr un acuerdo que nos permita refinanciar los abultadísimos vencimientos de deuda para los próximos tres años a los que se había comprometido el gobierno de Mauricio Macri", resaltó Fernández.<\/p>\n

En ese punto, el jefe de Estado reiteró que el préstamo, que implicó un desembolso de 44 mil millones de dólares, se utilizó para "pagar deuda insostenible y en financiar salida de capitales". Fernández enfatizó que la auto evaluación del FMI sobre su responsabilidad en la toma de deuda, "nos va a ayudar a terminar de entendernos". En el mismo tono, agregó, "Es un paso necesario en este camino. Para poder escribir una nueva página, es necesario cerrar el capítulo anterior. Hagámoslo rápido y así avancemos sobre un terreno más firme y despejado". <\/p>\n

En 2018 el FMI concedió al gobierno de Mauricio Macri un préstamo por u$s57.000 millones (de los que finalmente llegaron u$s44.000 millones). Según un informe del Banco Central de 2020 entre diciembre de 2015 y fines de 2019 la fuga de capitales superó los u$s86.000 millones.<\/p>\n

El acuerdo vigente obliga al pago de vencimientos en 2022 y 2023 por más de u$s19.000 millones cada año y por cerca de 5.000 millones en 2024.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
